KREISEL Electric and CutPower Enter Partnership for 250 New Charging Stations

Rainbach, July 17, 2023 – KREISEL Electric and CutPower have formed a groundbreaking strategic partnership to promote electromobility. As part of this collaboration, a total of 250 CHIMERO charging stations will be put into operation. The successful kick-off is marked by the first operational CutPower Towers located at Burger King in Flensburg, Germany. This partnership paves the way for further expansion of the charging infrastructure in Germany and Austria.

The innovative CutPower Tower is based on the proven KREISEL High Power Charger, CHIMERO, which enables fast charging with a low grid connection through its integrated battery. In contrast to the conventional CHIMERO, the CutPower Towers are combined with a specially designed recycled and climate-neutral concrete baseplate that also integrates the lighting and roofing system. This innovative solution minimizes the need for conventional, heavy concrete foundations and traditional excavation work.

Equipped with two CCS charging points, each charger can simultaneously charge two electric vehicles, with the power distribution being dynamic depending on the charging capacity and state of charge of the car. The CutPower Tower is particularly deployed in areas where the otherwise required high grid loads cannot be provided due to regional or local conditions.

This partnership between KREISEL Electric and CutPower brings together the expertise and technological know-how of both companies to drive the expansion of charging infrastructure and electromobility. Markus Kreisel, Founder and Managing Director, commented on the collaboration: “The long-term strategic partnership with CutPower is a milestone for us and the further expansion of this division of our company. We are excited to have gained a reliable partner in CutPower, where interested parties can directly order our systems along with operation, service, investment, etc.: Charging as a Service is the solution.”

Karl Eberhard Hunke, CEO of CUT POWER AG, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled about the partnership with KREISEL Electric. This innovation is a significant success for CutPower in accelerating the rollout. We need to accelerate the expansion of the charging infrastructure in Germany much faster – we can only achieve the mobility transition by increasing our speed. Delivery times for components, highly bureaucratic approval procedures, and delayed grid connection availability are the brakes.”
