John Deere and KREISEL Electric to Showcase Diversified Power Solutions at bauma 2025

The next generation of KREISEL high-performance batteries, targeted for production in 2026, are characterized by a flexible, modular architecture.
John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) will return to Munich, Germany, April 7–13, 2025, to participate in bauma, the construction industry’s largest trade show. JDPS and KREISEL Electric will be located in Hall A4 at Booth 325 where they will have the latest advancements in power solutions on display.
Future-Forward Battery Technology
John Deere and KREISEL Electric GmbH (KREISEL) are showcasing their latest advancements in electrification at bauma, including a new battery pack designed for seamless integration with off-highway machinery. “These batteries – targeted for production in 2026 – feature a flexible, modular architecture for best possible battery placement. And it has KREISEL’s patented immersion cooling technology, which provides active thermal management for optimal performance, safety, and lifespan.”, says Markus Kreisel, Managing Director Sales and Marketing at KREISEL.
With a focus on meeting the evolving needs of customers across equipment segments and applications, the team is engineering highly energy-dense batteries that deliver significant power. KREISEL battery technology is actively being used in the field across a range of applications and industries, including, agriculture, construction, road building, mining, material handling, specialty vehicles, and marine.
Together with running applications the industry-proven KREISEL KBP63 battery pack will be on display at bauma in the outdoor Wirtgen booth (FS.1011). KREISEL Electric is proud to be part of the Wirtgen Group “production system for a construction site with zero local emissions” that has been nominated for the bauma Innovation Award 2025 in the “Climate protection” category.
Rugged Industrial Engines
Attendees will get to see firsthand how John Deere industrial engines, including the Next Generation Engines — the JD4, JD14, and JD18 — are engineered to meet the evolving needs of the off-highway industry. These engines offer increased power density and improved fuel efficiency.
Integrated Battery and Charging Solutions
John Deere recognizes that building a robust charging ecosystem is crucial to the adoption of battery-powered construction equipment. To effectively support the transition to electric-powered off-highway machinery, John Deere is committed to providing charging solutions that are as versatile and adaptable as the jobsites they serve. This means developing both stationary and mobile charging options with varying power outputs and charge times that can be scaled. With KREISEL, JDPS is pursuing charging solutions to serve off-road electric construction vehicles where typical grid infrastructure is not available.
In the Wirtgen booth, JDPS will showcase a concept mobile charging solution powered by KREISEL battery technology. This concept will demonstrate the company’s focus on providing flexible charging options that can be easily deployed wherever they are needed. In addition to the mobile concept unit, the KREISEL CHIMERO stationary charger will also be on display at the Wirtgen booth. The KREISEL CHIMERO offers a high-powered alternative for locations where a fixed charging solution is preferred. With both mobile and stationary options, John Deere aims to provide its customers with the infrastructure they need to seamlessly integrate electric-powered equipment into their operations.
Investing in the Right Solutions for a New Era in Power
JDPS is leveraging its relationship with KREISEL to develop battery solutions for key OEM markets like construction, mining and material handling. With KREISEL, JDPS is also pursuing charging solutions to serve off-road electric vehicles where typical grid infrastructure is not available. The off-highway equipment market continues to evolve along with the rest of the world when it comes to how it is approaching sustainability. A challenge as complicated as efficiently powering our most important industries requires proven expertise and a commitment to testing and investing in the right solutions. At bauma 2025, JDPS will showcase how it is prepared to usher in A New Era in Power.
JDPS and KREISEL will be located in Hall A4 at Booth 325.
